Landscape Restoration to Begin Soon

Landscape restoration of those areas disturbed during construction is scheduled to begin within the next two weeks.  Areas that will be restored include:

The Village is committed to getting the work 100% completed, include landscape restoration as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, due to some circumstances out of our control, the work was delayed. We believe the issues have been resolved and work will begin soon.

The major construction operations of the project are now completed. All roadways are paved with limited work remaining to be completed.

Landscape restorations will be completed in the coming weeks.  In areas where concrete curb & gutter or sidewalk was replaced, the landscape will be restored with topsoil and seed. In areas of underground utility improvements (primarily storm sewer), the landscape will be restored with topsoil and sod. These areas will have topsoil installed and graded; however, sod will not be installed until mid-September when growing conditions are typically more favorable.

There has been significant activity over the past two weeks on many of the streets within the roadway improvement project. We are anticipating a majority of the work will be completed by the end of next week. 

Once the paving work is completed, landscape restoration and overall site clean-up will be performed.

Due to unexpected delays, the project is taking longer than anticipated.  The Village has received a commitment from the contractor the roadway improvements (pavement removal and surface paving) will begin during the middle of next week.  Once the contractor arrives in the Village, they will remain here until the work is completed.  We are hopeful the work will be completed by mid-August.

Asphalt resurfacing of roadways is anticipated to begin the week of July 10^th.

Construction will not be delayed due to the current shut-down of IDOT projects.
